To capture the benefits of a decentralized, agile storage system Seal was in need of a beautiful icon that captured the power and fluidity of their ground-breaking platform.
We started by studying how seals move. On land, they are comically slow and ponderous, often associated with circuses.
However, when swimming underwater, they move like lions; hunting and pivoting at incredible speeds to catch their prey. The fluidity and grace of seals when they hunt is a beautiful metaphor for the hidden benefits of decentralized networks like crypto and blockchain.

FROM BRAND DISCOVERY TO FINAL LOGO DESIGN
Research: Every brand identity begins with a thorough research phase. Here, we studied the graceful movements of the seal underwater.
Sketch: After the research phase, I begin my designs with pencil and paper. Here are some of the many sketches done to study the shape of the seal and the style of the final design.
Design & Refine: Selected sketches are then brought to life in vector form, and meticulously refined and evaluated.
